Graduated from Colombo University in Sri Lanka obtaining the Bachelor of Commerce degree, Niroshan Kahawatte had his graduate education at the University of Sheffield in the U.K. and earned a Master of Arts degree. He has also earned a diploma from the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) in Sri Lanka. In United Kingdom he qualified from the Chartered Institute of Management (CIMA).

Mr. Kahawatte had a wide exposure to mass media being a News Anchor and News Director, and Producer at the Sri Lanka’s premier television network Rupavahini. He expanded his knowledge as a Program Director in B.B.C. and Director Television Programs at the United Nations.

Since his emigration to the United States he was involved in commerce and trade became an entrepreneur and established several enterprises being an asset to the Sri Lanka America Chamber of Commerce.
